Adult Substance Abuse
SFBHN’s Utilization Management Department oversees:
- Utilization Management of Residential Level II Placements
- Management of the circuit centralized waitlist for Residential Level 2
- High Risk/High User Reviews
- Waitlist monitoring for Outpatient Services
- Coordination of services with Marchman Act Court, Drug Court and Dependency Court in Miami-Dade and Monroe County
Consumers must first receive an assessment to be considered for placement into a Residential Facility. Screenings can be performed at:
- Central Intake (Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Dept.)
Walk-ins on weekdays from 8 AM – 2 PM
3140 NW 76th Street
Miami, FL 33147
305-694-2766
* Individual appointments for assessments can also be made at any of the SFBHN adult substance abuse providers.
After the assessment is completed, consumers seeking residential level II placement need to call SFBHN at 1-866-833-7477 daily (Monday – Friday) from 10 AM to 2 PM to be placed on the waiting list and check status of bed availability.
Consumers will be provided interim services until residential services are available. Interim services seek to provide engagement opportunities to the consumer until a placement becomes available.
Once a bed becomes available for waitlisted consumers, the SFBHN ASOC Specialist will inform the consumer of the residential substance abuse provider that he/she is being linked to, as well as his/her assigned bed number.
The consumer needs to coordinate with the treatment provider within three days of being offered the bed by SFBHN, or the bed will be released to the next consumer on the waitlist.
